The Riverview Centre is a learning centre without walls that lifts up and celebrates the rural community in all is social,
environmental, economic, artistic and spiritual dimensions. It is a setting, electronic and/or physical, in which people
can meet and learn about the changing nature of the rural community.

Our Board Members
We are a not-for-profit corporation made up of individuals from different backgrounds who are interested in rural
community development.
We encourage the acceptance of rural life to those who enjoy this community presently and offer a learning opportunity
enabling the community to explore and embrace the wisdom of rural life and its importance.

Meet Our Staff:
Jo-Anne Camelon and Stephanie Wilde
Jo-Anne Camelon is our Marketing and Programme Development Manager. Jo-Anne brings dedication, strong
organizational and computer skills, and lots of programming and promotional ideas to this position. She is excited
to be working with this organization and looks forward to new challenges and opportunities.
Stephanie Wilde is the Summer Student Assistant. She is very adept in her work with the Internet and event planning.
Stephanie has strong interpersonal skills and enjoys taking on challenging tasks. She has some great ideas for the Riverview
Centre.

Our Programs
Programming is designed to presented in ‘learning streams’ which offer particular opportunities to share,
learn, develop and grow.
These Learning Streams include:
Rural Leadership Development –
Community Organizations, Rural Churches, and Rural Nursing.
Rural Arts –
Music, Visual Arts, Literature and Dance
Rural Community –
Outreach Projects, Spiritual Development and Environmental Stewardship

We are presently housed in the office of the Braeside Pastoral Charge (United Church of Canada) in Braeside
